Young Texas Artists Music Competition

Held annually since 1983, the Young Texas Artists Music Competition showcases the talent of emerging Texas artists. Originally a premier featuring only one artist, the competition has grown to four divisions and is adjudicated by five internationally recognized judges. The Young Texas Artists Music Competition culminates in Best of Texas: A Concert of Classics, a showcase of the finalists at the Crighton Theatre in Conroe. Now in its 41st year, the concert features performances by emerging Texas talent across four divisions (voice, piano, strings and orchestral instruments).
